Practical English Test for Colleges and Higher Vocational English Teaching

本文以武汉船舶职业技术学院为例,从教学内容的变化、教材的更新、教学方法的改进和教学手段的优化四个方面分析了高等学校英语应用能力考试对高职英语教学改革产生的影响,并探讨如何在教学中提高学生的英语应用能力考试水平。

This paper analyzes the influences of Practical English Test for Colleges （PRETCO） on higher vocational English teaching in Wuhan Institute of Shipbuild- ing Technology from the following four aspects： teaching content, teaching materials, teaching methods and teaching facilities. In addition, some suggestions are given on how to improve students＇ performance in PRETCO.
