国外古代失蜡铸造工艺研究综述

本文根据国外有关失蜡工艺研究的文献,着重介绍了西方有关古代失蜡铸造的遗物(蜡模和外范)的出土与发现,以及有关失蜡工艺的起源和西方早期失蜡铸造的方法。

Lost-wax is an important invention in the history of smelting and casting. Two major issues arise in the study of the early lost-wax casting technique： What features do lost-wax castings present technologically？ What kind of archaeological evidence can be used for judging the employment of lost-wax casting technique？ This article reviews relevant studies on lost-wax casting technique made by scholars abroad, especially on wax models and investment moulds in order to obtain some inspiration. It is hoped that this review will be of some help to promote the research on lost-wax casting technique in China.
