汉代墓葬用柏及其原因分析

On the Cypress Using in the Tombs of Han Dynasty

两汉时期,无论从文献记载还是从考古发掘来看,墓植柏树与墓葬用柏现象十分突出。究其原因,有两个方面:一是,柏木本身的特性及其所引申出来的文化内涵为其盛行奠定了基础;二是,汉代本身独特的文化元素与之融合,互为促进,主要表现为尊亲忠孝的儒家思想、尊君一统的社会秩序、视死如生的厚葬之风。

A social phenomenon was conspicuous, which was that many cypresses were planted around a tomb and used in the grave. It can be known from recording in the documents and some excavating in Han dynasty. Two things account for the occurrence, one is that the specific property of cypress and cultural intension extended lay a foundation for their prevail, another is that the unique cultural elements in Han dynasty mixed together and interacted, which mainly showed that the Confucianists advocated their senior relatives and were loyal to their filial duty, and there was a social order of advocating sovereign and unify, and a general mood of lavish funeral which was from a idea of looking upon death as living.
