The thesis tries to set Homer Epics in the typical cultural context of ancient Greece. It analyses the heroric ideas and its influence on those heroic images in that age. The heroes are earthly beings,aspiring after both self - manifestation, individuality, sense of honor and wisdom, rationality, moderation as well under the influence of the typical cultural characteristics of ancient Greece. And that′s why Carl Marx highly praised them as “well - balanced children”.
