The internal walls of iron and steel apparatus working in acidic environment are subject to corrosion. An instrument capable of monitoring the sulfide stress corrosion cracking and bydrogen embrittlement of iron and steel apparatus is described. The instrument can be attached externally on the apparatus to be tested. The working principle and structure design of the instrument are explained in detail
