Confucianism Is More Than a Prop —— Interrogating Confucianism Studies

基于时代变动的中外儒学研究，恰如一面镜子，照透了诸多研究者身后的“理论预设”。第一，儒学虽与原始神道同源，但终究与玄学和宗教，流为二事，自觉长成东方式的知识体系；它也不会因为被标举成某种“国学”，就越发显得尊严别致。第二，政治史决定儒学史。缘饰吏事，多是中国士绅的世纪噩梦。儒学政治化实难负儒学现代化之重任。第三，经济文化学崛起后，东亚儒学遂成宠物。但生成于农业母体的儒学，在市场经济主流下的命运归宿，才是真挑战。总之，以儒学为道具，学界虽屡有新见，但与儒学何干!

Confucianism studies in such a changing era reflect various researchers＇ pre -theories like a mirror. Firstly, after departing from primitive cradle in which theology and religion were born too, Confucianism grew up alone into on Oriental knowledge system. Although someone flaunt it as Guo -xue（ 国学）, Confucianism is not more honorable or noble. Secondly, Confucianism has always been entangled with politics. Dressed up in Confucianism, Chinese politics has always been intellectuals＇ nightmare, and such politicalism is hindering the modern＇zation of Confucianism. Finally, with the rising of Eco - culturalism, the East - Asian Confucianism soon became a favorite study. But in the torrent of market economy, the development destination of Confucianism born agriculturally is the real challenge it has to face. In short, Confucianism is taken for a prop from which fresh opinions are repeatedly voiced, but how much does all that to do with the true sense of Confucianism？
