Effect of Arch Ring Configuration on Stress in Arch Dam and Dam Abutment Stability

对拱坝设计中常用的三种拱圈进行了系统的研究。分析了反映拱圈几何形状特征参数的选择及其对拱应力和坝肩岩体稳定的影响，给出了特征参数与拱应力及坝肩岩体稳定指标的关系曲线。该项研究对拱坝体型的选择有参考价值。

This paper systematically deals with the three types of arch rings usually used in arch dam design, analyses the effect of arch ring configuration and its feature parameters on the stress distribution in arch dam and dam abutment stability, and also works out the relation curves among the feature parameters, arch stress and abutment stability. This research is of the valuable reference importance in the selection of arch dam configuration.
