IMG Partners with CCTV CCTV-IMG Sports Management, a joint venture between US sports marketing giant IMG Worldwide and China's official TV station, CCTV (中央电视台), have cut the ribbon on a 20-year sporting event partnership through the co-organization of two tennis events in Beijing and ChengdLi. The joint venture, which was established last August, is majority-owned by CCTV. The TV station has a daily audience of 740 million, and will broadcast sports events developed by the joint venture, including polo sailing, tennis, golf and American Football. IMG will operate the sponsorships and merchanclise aspects of the venture.
