摘要 在民国时期的学术界里,教育学者虽屡受学界权威学者的严厉批评,学科地位不甚可观,可是在担任大学校长这一重要职位方面,教育学者却远远多于其他学科学者。这一有趣的历史现象表明:民国一代教育学者总体素质高、出国留学人数多、较其他学科学者有更多管理学校的工作经历以及热衷于政治。探索形成这种奇特现象背后的历史动因,可以揭示出民国一代教育学者独特的历史群貌。 The article reveals an interesting educational phenomenon in the academic world in Republic of China. Although educationists were criticized harshly by some authoritative scholars and the status of education was embarrassing, the number of educationist as presidents of universities and colleges was much larger than their counterparts of any other disciplines. The author explored four aspects of educationists in that time- they had high quality as a whole; many of them had the experience of study ahroadi they were more experiential in school management than scholars from other disciplines and were interested in politics. By doing this, the author attempts to find out the historical driven force of the special phenom- enon and thus to reveal the unique group image of educationists in Republic of China.
