Recent development of analogtodigital and digitaltoanalog converters, along with its market and products, is described. Design techniques and process technologies for data converters are reviewed in particular. It is pointed out that 16bit 100～200 MHz and 8b～10b 10 GHz high performance analogtodigital converters are the target for future development.
