电影片名的翻译已成为翻译学界学者关注的一个重要课题,要翻好电影片名应充分考虑社会历史及文化背景的差异。针对当前英文电影片名汉译的现状,通过对实例分析,指出电影片名就是影片的广告和商标。电影片名的翻译须遵翻译的基本原则,语言规范,方法适当。

As more and more foreign movies stream into china, the translation of a movie rifle has become one of the most important topics of many scholars. Because of the social and historical differences as well as different culture, it is not easy to translate a movie title. This article analyses the current situation of translating English movie titles into Chinese and points out that a movie title can be regarded as a special advertisement or a brand of the movie. In the view of the author, an appropriate method should involves three facts： the basic princi- ples of translation, the norm of chinses language and the taste of th audience in China.
