流行音乐作为大众文化的重要组成,对高校校园文化建设有着极大的影响,其正面价值表现为:有推进高校校园文化娱乐、降低教育成本、促进文化互溶、标志文化身份、调适学生心理、引导与抵御外来文化渗透的积极价值。其负面影响包括:由流行音乐的文化消费特征带来的社会文化资源浪费和对社会文化的消解作用。基于文化转换功能,流行音乐的正面价值与负面影响是可以相互转换。在高校校园文化建设中,对于大学生流行音乐的需求应做到积极引导适当监管,让流行音乐在高校和谐校园建设中发挥积极作用。

Pop music is an important integral part of popular culture and has a great impact on constructing campus culture. It has the following positive values： promoting the campus culture and entertainment, reducing the cost of education, promoting cultural integration, marking cultural identity, adjusting the student＇ s psychological health, guiding and resisting the infiltration of foreign culture. It also has negative effects as follows ： the waste of social and cultural resources and the counteracting of social culture accompanied by the cultural consumeristie traits of popular music. These positive and negative effects are interchangeable due to the transforming function of culture. In the construction of campus culture, positive guide and supervision are to be enforced in order to make pop music play an active role in building harmonious campus.
