The technology of exhaust turbocharger is being used commonly on marine main engine, and surge is one of its inherent characteristic, in this paper, the author first expounds the hamer and mechanism of surge,then the possible cause,preventive and obviate measures are specified, in the end, the author gives views on daily maintenance.
