An Overview of the Pulp & Paper Industry and Research In Australia and New Zealand

澳大利亚和新西兰曾经是制浆造纸工业发达的国家,但目前正面临工业转型的历史时期。本文简要介绍了转型期澳大利亚和新西兰两国的造纸工业与科学研究现状,这对中国造纸科技工作者思考未来的发展将有一定的借鉴和参考。

Australia and New Zealand both have abundant wood fibre resources, and they have been the developed countries in the pulping and papermaking industry. And with the rapid growth in paper and paperboard production in the Asian region, an austere challenge must be faced by the pulp and paper industry of Australia and New Zealand. In this paper, some statistics on the pulp ＆ paper industries of the two countries were presented, and the information on pulping and papermaking research fields were also introduced. It can be used for reference, and it will be beneficial to our Chinese paper makers during the significant reconstruction periods.
