谢有顺的批评具有鲜明的批判立场与品格,主张存在是文学的基本维度,提出文学是灵魂的叙事、人心的呢喃,提倡灵魂叙事。谢有顺的文学幻梦,体现出他远大的胸襟与磅礴的气象,以及当代批评家勇于担当的社会责任感与文学使命感;但同时也显得过于理想化与绝对化,尤其是对我国悠久的文学传统与精神的背离与误读,反映出很多当代文学批评家的通病。

Xie Youshun＇s criticism has a prominent critical stance and feature. He regards existence as the basic dimension of literature, and advocates soul narrative for he thinks that literature is a narrative of soul and emotions. Xie Youshun＇s literary fantasy reflects his splendid ambitions and the contemporary critics＇ sense of social and literary responsibility. On the other hand, his ideas are too idealistic and absolute. His diversion and misreading of Chinese literary tradition in a sense embodies the common problems of contemporary literary criticism.
