摘要
词汇衔接是实现语篇连贯的多种衔接机制之一。文章根据韩礼德和哈桑的衔接理论,分析探讨了新闻英语中词汇衔接手段的形式特征及其功能。复现和搭配是词汇衔接的两种类型,它们有组织和联结句际间词汇语义的功能,起到连句成篇的作用。对词汇衔接的研究能帮助读者更好地理解新闻语篇中词汇语义与篇章连贯的关系,把握其真正交际意图。
Reiteration and collocation are the two main types of lexical cohesion in achieving text coherence. Based on cohesion theory of Halliday and Hasan,this paper analyzes the features and functions of the two cohesive devices in Journalistic English, The aim of study is to help readers grasp the communicative intentions of text ,if knowing the relation lexical meaning and discourse coherence.
