Explaination of New Words in the Light of Iconicity

新词的产生具有理据性而非任意的。象似性即语言的形式与内容之间的理据性。本文试图从语音象似、语义象似和语用象似角度诠释新词的编码和解码过程,从而说明新词产生的象似动机。

New words are motivated rather than arbitrary and the motivation between form and content is iconieity. This paper attempts to explain the encoding and decoding process of new words in the light of iconicity.
