The reaction character of ethylene forming 1-hexene is analyzed based on the reaction engineering theory, thus determining the factors affect the selectivity of 1-hexene. The process is simulated with chemical process analog software, the results of which are in compliance with the theoretical analysis, providing theoretical basis for the development of this technique.
