This paper introduces the features of the network information resources, discusses the necessity and feasibility of developing the network resources from aspects of the insufficient collection resources, large information demands, fast knowledge updating, and the changes of the reading habit and reading mode, etc., expounds the principles that should be followed in developing the network resources, and puts forward some concrete methods for the library to develop and provide the network information resources.
