《英语同声打字》是笔者所在高校英语专业开设的一门创新课程。该课程的开设旨在通过英语听打训练培养学生的英语同声打字技能,提高和强化学生的英语听力和计算机操作能力,同时巩固学生在社会、经济、政治、文化等领域的专业知识。英语同声打字技能的掌握使学生在就业中更具专业优势和竞争力。本文试图全面地阐述《英语同声打字》新课程开设的背景、教学理念、教学内容、教学实施环节以及评价体系,期待得到英语界专家学者对该课程的建设与发展的关注,共同探索我国英语专业复合型人才培养新模式。

Simultaneous English Listening and Typing （Audio Typing） is a new course for English majors in our university. The purpose of this course is to help students master the ability of audio typing, to strengthen their English listening competence and computer operation skills, and to widen their knowledge in fields of sociology, economics, politics and cultural life. With the skills in English Audio Typing, the students will be more competent and competitive in job - searching. This paper intends to make a tentative study on this new course in the following aspects： its teaching philosophy, teaching con- tents, teaching methods and its assessment system. We hope more professionals would follow this course closely to explore and perfect its construction and development so as to grope for a new way to cultivate English professionals with all - round abilities.
