Determination of the meal size of Parena rufotestacea Jedi on the larvae of Latoia lepida (Cramer) and Euproctis pseudoconspersa

本文简述了黄宽颚步甲(Parena rufotescea Jedi)形态特征和在湖南省的发生情况,及捕食丽绿刺蛾、茶毛虫幼虫前期各龄的数量作了测定:明确该步甲是两种害虫的幼龄幼虫的劲敌,平均每天捕食量分别为5.1头,6.8头;提出了保护利用措施。

This article demonstrate the feature characteristics and occurrence status of Parena rufotestacea Jedi. And the Parena rufotestacea Jedi＇s meal size on Latoia lepida （Cramer）amd Euproctis pseudoconspersa was also determined.The result indicates that Parena rufotesatacea Jedi is definitely the natural enemy of Latoia lepida （Cramer）and Euproctis pseudoconspersa,with average daily intake number 5.1and 6.8 respectively.Protection measure for Parena rufotestacea Jedi was put forward.
