《沁园春·雪》英译文的关联翻译理论阐释

Analysis of the English version of Snow·On the Pattern of Qinyuanchun from the perspective of relevance translation theory

赵恒元先生翻译的毛泽东诗词《沁园春.雪》的英译文在文化缺省的处理、美学情感的传递和深远意境的再现三个方面体现了关联翻译理论的某些特点。译者使用了直接翻译和间接翻译相结合的方法处理文化缺省问题,较好地把握了原文作者的意图与译文读者的期待之间的关系问题;在美学情感的传递方面,译者基本反映了原文的风格和比喻的诗歌效果;在叠字、联绵词、数量词、颜色词和领字等翻译方面,译者比较准确地理解了原文的浪漫描写和深刻内涵。

Zhao Heng-yuan＇s English version of Qinyaanchun Snow written by Mao Ze-dong reflects some features of relevance translation theory in three aspects such as settlement of cultural defaults, transmission of aesthetic feelings and reappearance of profound artis- tic conception. The combination of direct translation and indirect translation is used to deal with cultural defaults. Zhao has grasped correctly the relationship between the author~ intent and the target text readers＇expectation; Zhao also reflects comparatively the original style and the poetic effect of the figure of speech to transmit aesthetic feelings; Zhao has a good understanding of the romantic description and deep meaning of the original text in translation of reduplications, compound words, quantifiers, color terms and summary words.
