摘要
基于幽默的人际功能和教育功能,从外语学习环境、语言文化知识等五个方面探讨英语幽默作为一种可资利用的教学资源在大学英语教学中的潜在作用,认为将英语幽默用于大学英语课堂教学将是对现有大学英语教学模式的有益补充,并体现英语教学的实用性、文化性和趣味性。
Based on the interpersonal and educational functions of humor, this paper investigates into the potential application of humor as teaching resources in Chinese college English teaching from such five aspects as creating favorable language learning atmosphere and passing knowledge about the target language and its culture, and considers teaching through humor can be a beneficial supplement to the present teaching mode, since such teaching embodies the practicality, cultural concern and interestingness of English teaching.
