乡土小说至今已有近百年的历史,这百年的乡土小说可以说是这百年中国政治文化的生动纪录。从"五四"时期的批判启蒙、三四十年代的抗战救亡,到《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》发表后的歌颂新时代,再到新时期以来诗意的回归,随着时代中心话题的变化,乡土小说也经历了多个主题的变更。

The local novels have undergone a history of almost one hundred years. These local novels can also be regarded as an important record of Chinese politics and culture in these years. From the enlightenment of May 4th Movement to the period of Anti-Japanese War to singing the new age after the ＂Speech at Yanan Forum on literature and Art＂ to the poetic return of the new age, with the change of epochal theme, the theme of local novel has changed many times.
