摘要
元认知策略对学习者的学习起着非常重要的作用。以188名理工科大学新生为调查对象,分析探讨了他们的元认知策略的使用水平与英语水平之间的关系。从调查中发现:理工科新生整体上元认知策略使用频率不高,其中高水平组学生和中低水平组学生在元认知策略的使用上差别具有统计学意义。此外,同一水平组学生在元认知策略的使用上存在较大差异,表现为英语水平越高,差异越小,反之亦然。
Metacogntive strategy plays a very important role for learners in language learning. On the basis of the data collected in a study of 188 freshmen of science and engineering, the present research investigates and analyzes the relationship between their metacognitive strategies and English proficiency. Results of the study indicate that ( 1 ) the frequency of metacognitive strategies among freshmen of science and engineering is not high; (2) significant statistical differences exist among high-proficiency learners, middle-proficiency learners and low-proficiency learners in their application of metacognitive strategies ; (3) great disparity exists in the same proficiency groups, i. e. the higher their proficiency is, the less their disparity is, and vise versa.
