跨断层垂直位移速率的动态演化特征与强震的关系

THE TEMPORAL EVOLUTION CHARACTERISTICS OF CROSS- FAULT VERTICAL DISPLACEMENT RATE AND THEIR RELATION TO STRONG EARTHQUAKES

利用华北及南北地震带跨断层流动水准和定点水准的观测资料 ,计算各测点的垂直位移速率 ,对 7个地震事件震前断层垂直位移速率的动态演化特征及断层群体速率合成的结果作了初步研究。结果表明 ,断层垂直位移速率的时空演化特征与强震活动有较好的对应关系 ,特别是震前断层垂直位移速率异常的空间分布及向震源区的逼近 ,是预测发震地点的一种可行方法 。

Using cross-fault levelling data at fixed and mobile observational stations in North China and the North-South Seismic Belt,the vertical displacement rate at each site is cal- culated.The temporal evolution characteristics of cross-fault vertical displacement rate and fault-group synthesized rate before seven earthquakes are studied.The resultindicates that the temporal-spatial evolution characteristics of fault vertical displacement rate are fairly well related to strong earthquake activity.Particularly,the spatial distribution of anomalous displacementrate and its approaching to the source region before an earthquake can be used to predictthe location of earthquake occurrence.The synthesized curve of ver- tical faultdisplacementrate and exceedance ofdeviation limits can be the referential criteri- afor predicting the magnitude and time of the coming earthquakes.
