本文讨论了河口的定义、范围以及盐淡水混合的类型、程度和强度等问题,认为盐淡水混合状态(程度)和盐淡水混合作用(强度)是两个不同的概念,不能混为一谈。通常所说的高度分层型河口混合程度不好并非一定意味着盐淡水混合作用就弱,充分混合型河口也非盐淡水混合作用就很强。

This paper discusses the estuarine definition, scope and the type, degree, intensity of mixing of freshwater and saltwater and considers that the mixed state of freshwater and saltwater (degree) and the action of mixing of freshwater and saltwater (intensity) are two different concepts which must not be lumped together. It comfirms that the action of mixing of freshwater and saltwater at the poorly mixed satl-wedge estuary (highly stratified type) is not always weak and the homogeneous estuary (well mixed type) is not an intense mixing type.
