Knowing Mythical Fowls from the Mirrors of Spirit Beasts

我国古代铜镜的纹饰,大量的是以上古历史、传说和神话为题材。对于其中一些纹饰的称谓,如：青龙、白虎、朱雀、玄武、天禄、辟邪、穷奇、巨虚等等,有的是见诸于相关文献记载,有的则是根据铜镜的相关铭文或榜题而为人们所认识的。

In the paper. the author introduces the designs which were popular in Kuaiji （Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province） area from the middle period of Earth Han Dynasty to the period of Three Kingdoms and Six Dynasties. The Mythical fowls mentioned in the mirror inscription should be the Spirit Beasts designed in the pattern.
