Some New Ideas on Tectonics of NE China and Its Neighboring Areas

本文简要叙述了笔者对中国东北及邻区地质构造的新认识,首次提出了该区侏罗纪晚期可能发育与现今青藏高原类似的古高原的初步见解,对前人“古亚洲洋构造体制”和“滨太平洋构造体制”等概念进行了讨论,对中朝地块与西伯利亚地台中元古代以来的构造活动性作了简要的比较。

Some new ideas on the tectonic evolution of NE China and its neighboring areas are briefly stated in this paper. The author proposes the preliminary inference that there possibly existed the Late Jurassic paleoplateau, similar to the current Qinghai-Tibet plateau. Traditional concepts on the 'Paleoasia oceanic tectonic regime' and 'circum-Pacific tectonic regime' are discussed and revised. Comparison of the Sino-Korean block in geological activities since the Middle Proterozoic with the Siberian platform is briefly made.
