From "Amusing God" to "Amusing Human Being":the Relationship Between Seasonal Temple Fair and Arts of Talking and Singing in Beijing

北京作为千年帝都,其节令风俗源远流长。各种说唱艺术也伴随节令的狂欢而适时出现,这些曲艺或单枪匹马,或结社成群,在节日的群众性愉悦中拥有不可替代的娱乐功能。说唱作为节会中民众集体参与的文化活动,一定程度上显现出该群体的共同的文化心理与信仰。

As an imperial capital for over 1000 years seasonal customs of Beijing have distant sources.Various arts of talking and singing appear timely along with seasonal revelry.These folk art forms(or single-handed or in groups)play an irreplaceably amusing role in festive mass joys.As cultural activities collectively attended by the common people in seasonal fairs arts of talking and singing represent to a certain extent the common cultural psychology and belief of the group.
