Economic Development in Guizhou under the Strategy of Developing the Western Region

西部大开发战略实施以来,贵州在基础设施、能源、环境保护、产业结构调整、科技教育、市场化体制改革等领域采取了很多措施,相关领域也都取得了显著成效。但是,横向对比表明,贵州在经济和社会发展、市场化体制建设、环境治理、科技投入与创新等领域仍然存在一定差距,这些问题关系到贵州的可持续发展,应当引起高度关注。

Since the introduction of the strategy of developing the western region, various measures have been taken and significant achievements made in Guizhou in infrastructure, power, environmental protection, industrial restructuring, science, technology and education, and marketization reforms. However, cross - section comparison indicates that Guizhou still lags behind other regions in economic and social development, market institution building, environmental protection, and investment and innovation in science and technology. These issues bear on sustainable development in Guizhou and deserve close attention.
