This paper analyzes the causes of intrasystem noise and external noise in HFC return path, the impact of the noise on network and introduces the various parameters which are used for describing the impact of noise. The paper puts forward that by selecting equipments, optimizing network, monitoring noise and other measures, the echo noise interference can be suppressed effectively to make sure that the cable TV network carry out two-way business normally.
