A Discuss on the Producing Area of Earth Salt and Cliff Salt in the Song Dynasty

宋代土盐产地分布于7路33州(府、军),已知县(监、军)11个,未知县级政区至少有25个。除邢、洺、深、冀、瀛、霸、郑七州外,其他州县大致为宋代出现的土盐产地。崖盐产地分布于2路2州(军),已知县2个,未知县级政区至少有1个。这些地方五代以前未见生产崖盐,大致为宋代出现的崖盐产地。

In the Song Dynasty, the producing areas of earth salt were distributed in 7 roads, 33 states （Fu, Jun）. The known counties were 11 （jian, Jun） and the unknown county＇s level political areas were 25 at least. Besides seven states as Xing, Ming, Sheng, Yi, Ylng, Ba and Zheng, and other states and cotmties were approximately the producing areas of earth salt which appeared in the Song Dynasty. The producing areas of cliff salt were distributed in 2 roads, 2 states （Jun）. The known counties were 2 and the unknown county＇s level political area was 1 at least. These places had not seen to produce cliff salt before the Five Dynasties and they were approximately the producing area of cliff salt which appeared in the Song Dynasty.
