摘要
语法在英语学习和教学中一直占据着核心地位。传统的语法教学发展到今天已暴露出诸多的问题和弊端,很难适应现代语言教学的要求。语言分析和教学理论的新发展和研究成果不断促使我们从更科学,更有效的角度去重新思考和认识语法及其教学。从语篇的角度看,语法与语篇之间的重要关系应该得到足够的重视,而且语法教学应该突破传统教学的认识和模式,将教学放入到更高的语篇层次和真实的语境中进行,这会更有利于学习者语法知识的习得和交际能力的培养。
This paper makes a reconsideration of the teaching of English grammar from the perspective of discourse.It discusses how English grammar had been traditionally treated and taught as a departure for the argumentation that grammar should be viewed and taught in relation to discourse and context.Drawing from the close relationship between grammar and discourse,it can be concluded that the teaching of grammar should get over the tradition of decontextualization and sentence level and be shifted to the contextualized discourse level,at which learners can achieve real language acquisition and improve their communicative competence.
