摘要
后殖民作家V.S.奈保尔的模仿思想在半自传体小说《抵达之谜》中得以表现。本文以两位模仿者(皮顿和"我"——奈保尔)为例,解读了小说中的模仿主题的三个特征:对宗主国文化的认同、抵制和颠覆。指出以发展的眼光来看待奈保尔的模仿思想对促进世界多元文化发展具有重要意义。
This paper argues that V. S. Naipaul advances his opinion on mimicry in his semi-autobiographical novel The Enigma of Arrival. With his construction of the two mimics: the gardener Piton and "I" Naipaul, Naipaul mediates on colonial mimicry in terms of the colonized's identification with, resistance to, and subversion of the rationale of the colonizer.
