语言与文化有着密切的联系。语言是文化的重要载体,文化是语言所承载的内容。在跨文化交际中,不同文化背景的人往往由于缺乏对异国文化的了解,有可能产生文化休克。在传统的大学英语教学中,跨文化教育缺失往往导致学生的跨文化交际能力缺失。因此,有必要加强大学英语教学的跨文化教育并对课程作一些改革。

Language is closely connected with culture. It is the carrier of culture, while culture is reflected in language In the process of intercultural communication, misunderstanding and even culture shock might arise due to insufficient knowledge of a foreign culture. In traditional College English teaching, deficiency in intercultural communication instruction has in part led to students＇ insufficient language proficiency. Therefore, more emphasis need to be put on intercultural communication instruction and curriculum reform.
