摘要
近２０年来，遗传工程生物技术以其极为广阔的应用前景和商业潜力，引起各界的关注。本文较全面地介绍了生物技术在农业、林业、动物、人类、环境以及海洋生物等领域的发展现状，并提出了林业生物技术的发展侧重点。
Abstract The current situation of development of biotechnology in agriculture, forestry, zoology, human biology, environment and marine biology is introduced comprehensively. The emphasis of biotechnological development in forestry is put forward. The authors suggest that the forestry biotechnology research should be strengthened from the following aspects:(1) by genetic engineering to improve tree quality;(2) gene map and population biodiversity;(3) molecular physiology;(4) controlling environmental pollution;(5) developing and producing medicines from forest products.
