The brake of TORO-400E electric load-haul-damp （HLD） is divided into the parking brake, service brake and emergency brake. It needs a long time to judge the failures when they occurred due to the complex principles of the braking system. This article mainly analyzes and discusses the electric and hydraulic working principles of the braking system for TORO-400E electric HLD to shorten the judgment and maintenance time of failures.
