Differentiated Study on Gao You's Life and Career

东汉经学家高诱在学术成就上可与郑玄相提并论,然其生平事迹却少有人知。通过相关文献推知,高诱生于汉桓帝时期,约于三国魏文帝时去世。高诱约于汉灵帝熹平五年(176年)师从当时名儒卢植,以读经为主,在黄巾起义暴发(184年)前夕辞学归家。随后,校正《孟子章句》,依次为《淮南子》、《孝经》、《吕氏春秋》和《战国策》作注。

Gao You is a very important talent in Chinese intellectual history,but little is known about his life and career. Based on the analysis of many historical materials, it can be concluded that Gao You was born in the reign of Emperor Huan of Han time and died in the reign of Emperor Wen of Wei. Around 176, Gao You was taught to read classical canons by Lu Zhi who was a famous Confucian scholar. On the eve of the Yellow Turban Insurrectionary Army＇s War, he dropped out and returned home. In the following years, Gao You corrected MengziZhangju and annotated Huannanzi, Xiaojing, Liishichunqiu and Zhanguoce one by one.
