教育救国是张伯苓一贯的理念。他强调这种教育必须与当时的社会经济发展状况结合并为之服务,因而采取了很多实际措施来加强教学实践。他认为,教育救国离不开人才的培养,在德育、智育、体育这三育中更应重视德育的核心作用。为此,他用爱国主义的激情贯穿道德熏陶的始终,用言传身教的人格魅力感化学生,并通过体育、智育等其他素质教育来襄助德育的深化。张伯苓德育思想中的理想主义激情对我们今天的德育教学仍有启示。

Saving the Nation Through Education was always the idea of Zhang Boling, but he stressed that this kind of thought ought to be combined with the socio economic development, and serve it as well, so that＇s why he had taken many practical measures to enhance the teaching practice. He also believed that education could not be separated from the training of national salvation, but of the education in moral, intellection and sports, he paid more attention to the central role of moral, therefore, he ran through the moral influence with the passion of patriotism by using words and deeds of the personal charm to impress his students, and helping deepen moral education through sports, inte]lection and other quality -oriented education. Till now, the idealist passion in Zhang Boling＇s moral thought is still the enlight- enment for our today＇s moral teaching.
