A Lonely Sailing Soul:Cai Qijiao and his Poems during 50-60s of the Last Century

从上个世纪40年代就步入诗坛的蔡其矫创作了不少充分表达自己创作个性、艺术追求和富有抒情美特质的优秀诗歌,但由于这些诗歌的内容与那些时代的生活主流存在着某些疏离,而被视为偏离了时代的主旋律。就诗歌的本质而论,他的这些抒情诗不仅有着较高的艺术美含金量,也是对诗人自觉坚持艺术纯正性的有力表达,更是对知识分子的正义、良知、批判、自审等独立的理性精神的坚强捍卫。

After the beginning of his poetry creation career in the 40s of the last century, Cai Qijiao （1918 - 2007） had published lots of excellent works in which he had fully expressed his peculiar personality and personal pursuit of arts. Although these poems have embodied an aesthetics nature of lyricism, they had been considered to be a departure of the mainstream of the time, because they were, to certain degree, isolated from the real life. Judged from the nature of poems, however, they are not only the masterpieces with the beauty of arts but also powerful expressions of the poet himself in which he expressed his pursuit of pure art and his firm upholding of such intellectuals independent rational spirits as uprightness, conscience, criticism and self-examination.
