新课程背景下的英语素质教育探索

On Character Education in English under the Context of New Curriculum Reforms

素质教育是历史发展的必然,是先进的教育理念和时代的要求,新课程改革的目标就是"全面贯彻党的教育方针,全面推进素质教育"。我国的英语课程是素质教育的重要组成部分,必须坚定不移地走素质教育的道路。英语课程实施素质教育,必须建立学生素质结构体系,以此为据,构建相应的英语教学的目标体系;必须贯彻英语素质教育的基本原则,即全体性原则、主体性原则、全面性原则、发展性原则和创造性原则。

Character education is an inexorable trend of development of history and the requirements of the advanced educational notions and the new age. The goals of new curriculum reforms are “to implement the educational principles of Communist Party of China comprehensively and to carry forward character education comprehensively. ” We must adhere to character education steadfastly because English curriculum is one of the important parts of character education in our country. In order to implement character education in English, a structural system of the student~ qualities should be constructed, and accordingly a goal system of English be constructed. At the same time, the fundamental principles of character education in teaching and learning should English should be followed.
