Confucian Classics and the Formation of Han Dynasty Style

汉代是经学的时代,文人强烈的宗经意识深刻影响着汉代文体的生成。在汉代文人看来,经学既是天地人间恒久之道的渊薮,也是文章的最高范本和各种文体之源,所以撰写文章只须直接采用经典文本中已有的文体类型,或从经书中抽绎某种文体的潜在形式加以发展,或依经称名稽古制式,或汲取说经方式形成新的文体。汉代经学烦琐的阐释方式和动辄以经为据的风气直接影响到汉代的文体风貌。汉代经学对文体的复杂影响使汉代文体在文学性和精神性两方面都带上了明显的经学色彩。

Han Dynasty ed the formation of Han was the time of Confucian Classics. Scholars＇ intense consciousness of Classics Dynasty style profoundly. In the Han Dynasty, Confucian Classics were regard affected not only as the gathering place of world permanent roads, but also as the perfect model for articles and source of various kinds of styles. Therefore writers only needed direct use of the existing styles in the Classics, or seleeted a latent form to develop, or made formula according to existing patterns, or derived certain mode from Classics and formed a new literary style. The way to explain Confucian Classics and the common practice of frequent use of Confucian Classics directly influenced Han Dynasty＇s style. The complex influence of Confueian Classics on Han Dynasty style caused the later have obvious color of Classics in literary and psychic aspects.
