Zhou Libo＇s prose writing was earlier than his novel writing. However, on account of his solid foundation in theory, language as well as his plentiful experience in life, his prose are characterized by diversified subject matter and earthy feeling. Accordingly, his proses are valuable both in ideology and art and are viewed as treasure in Chinese literary works.
