摘要
Hiccup is induced by upward reversion of qi and mainly manifested as continuous short and repeated ＂hic＂ sound in the throat. It is quite a common symptom in clinic and its general causative factors are improper diet, disharmony emotions and deficiency of anti-pathogenic qi. Reducing the reversed stomach qi is the major principle of treatment. The author had treated hiccup attacked within 3 days with acupuncture on Cuanzhu（攒竹 BL 2）. The summarization is as follows.
