Pan Maoyuan's Thoughts on Non-governmental Higher Education

潘懋元先生是我国高等教育学科奠基人。他深知发展民办高等教育对于完善我国高等教育体系的重要意义,对民办高等教育发展问题进行了前瞻性的思考,形成了一套完整的理论体系。笔者从民办高等教育的发展必然性、性质、人才观、立法、评估指标体系及经费等层面对潘懋元先生的民办高等教育思想进行梳理,其教育思想内容丰富、博大精深,对我国民办高等教育的改革与发展具有重要的指导意义。

Mr. Pan Maoyuan is the Founder of the disciplinary of higher education in China. He had wall known the significance of the non-governmental higher education for developing Chinese higher education system. He had held a series of thoughts on non-governmental higher education development, which formed a relatively complete theory system. This paper reviews Mr. Pan＇s thoughts on non-governmental higher education from six levels ineluding the necessity of the development, characteristic, view of talents, legislation, evaluation system and funding support. Mr. Pan＇s educational thoughts are very profound, which does help in the guidance of our current reform and development of non-governmental higher education.
