Empirical Analysis on Methods of Reader Survey——Case Studies of Reader Survey in Guangzhou City Polytechnic Library

采用案例分析法,以广州城市职业学院图书馆开展的读者问卷调查为例,归纳影响调查质量的三个重要因素,即样本选择、调查内容的设计及调查结果的统计分析方法。样本选择方法以随机抽样为主,在随机样本不能满足需要的情况下适当采用非随机抽样方法。调查内容的设计须从信度和效度两方面进行评价,以确保调查结果确能反映调查目的。研究结果表明,统计方法使用的角度不同,对调查结果的描述有着重要的影响。

Guangzhou City Polytechnic library carried out a reader survey. This paper regards it as an example, and sums up three important factors which affected the quality of reader survey by the way of case studies. The factors are methods of choosing sample, design of questionnaire, and the used statistical methods. Methods of choosing sample focus on random sampling, on the condition that random sample can＇t meet the need, non-random sampling was also used. The design of questionnaire must be valued from both reliability and validity to ensure that survey results reflect the true purpose of the investigation. The research also shows that usage of statistical methods have an important impact on description of the survey results.
