Combining with the design of transferring open pit mining into underground mining in Xingshan iron mine, the paper introduces the design practice in the aspects of time-space relationship, production connection, development system, mining method and safety measures of openpit stoping, nearby-slope orebody and deep part orebody mining in the process.
