通过建立覆岩破坏地震波场响应的数学模型，利用合成地震记录和二维有限差分法波场数值模拟，计算覆岩破坏地震波场特征，计算结果表明：由开采引起的覆岩变形破坏的波场响应特征比较直观地反映出覆岩破坏的空间范围。

The synthetic seismogram techniques and the 2D finite difference method(FDM)are used to simulate the seismic waves field character of overburden by building the mathematical models in response to seismic waves of the overburden failure.The calculation result indicates that the seismic waves field response character of the overburden failure indueed by mining directly reflects the spatial scope of overburden failure ,Thus,it lays a theoretic foundation for the application of the secsmic technology in monitoring the overburden deformation and failure .
