Global organic textile standard and its certification

国际工作组(IWG)建立全球有机纺织品标准(GOTS)的主要目的是协调统一各地区标准,推广其全球广泛认可性,确保从原料的收获到产品加工、销售都完全符合标准要求,最终为消费者提供可靠的产品。国内有机纺织品生产加工和贸易企业应充分了解GOTS的推出过程、IWG的组织架构与责任,以及GOTS的内容(纤维的种植、加工、质量保证体系、完整加工链的认证、留样测试、现场审核的重点、标签等级)等。GOTS认证的推广将会进一步加速,有关方面对此应做好充足的准备。

International Working Group（IWG） on Global Organic Textile Standard（GOTS） was founded with the aim to continuously work on harmonization of various regional approaches and to develop a set of Global Standards, to ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labeling, to provide a credible assurance to end consumers. Main steps in GOTS＇s development, organization and responsibility of the IWG, contents of the GOTS（fiber production, processing, quality assurance system, certification of the entire processing chain, residue testing, key elements of auditing, label-grades） were introduced. The domestic organic textile processing and trading sector should prepare to face the increasing popularization of GOTS.
